About Me

My name is John Tran and I have taught now for 8 years at public, private, and charter schools in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Orange County. My experiences, both positive and negative, have made me who I am today, and as I continue teaching for the next couple of years, I will carry with me a legacy to try to embolden students to critically think while at the same time building strong relationships with each and every single one of my students.

Designed and implemented curriculum structure aligned with California State Standards and Common Core Standards. Used Backwards planning to create Technology-embedded curriculum for Social Science Courses. Established a variety of teaching strategies that included inquiry-based and cooperative learning. Incorporated the usage of the 5 C's in curriculum. Was in charge of the Five Star Program, Founder And Advisor Builder's Club, Co-Creator/Co-Advisor of the Student Senate, and Civic Engagement Lead. Helped Dale Receive Civic Learning Award of Excellence in 2023.
